In case you are a “do it yourself” person, below there are some steps to install the door. Don’t forget to wear a proper eye protection when using hand tools.

• Measure Opening – Once you remove your old door frame, take the opening measurements and give them to your local home improvement retailer to help choosing the right size product 
• Check Measurement – When you receive your new interior door you’ll need to remove the packaging. Measure the door and component pieces to ensure the product is the right size.
• Paint Door – Interior doors come pre-primed so this is a good time to put up a coat of paint on the door and component pieces.
• Build Frame – Place the door and component pieces on the ground with the hinge side down and align the strike 
• Position Door in Opening and place temporary shims to secure it into place
• Level Door with Shims – make sure the door is level. You’ll also want to ensure proper spacing along the door opening about 1/8 inch and adjust the shims accordingly
• Fasten Jamb with Finishing Nail – fasten the jam with finishing nail. Start on the hinge side. Work your way around the door nailing the frame through the shims.
• Secure Door Stop to the strike jamb
• Remove Shims and Install Trim – break off the remaining shares and replace the old trim
• Install Hardware according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
